Hi everyone and welcome to my weightlifting shoes website. My name is Max and CrossFit and weightlifting have been a passion of mine for a little over three years now. When I first started I had a sever lack of mobility in my ankles and hips. My first instinct was to work on those areas but it was not until one of my head coaches directed me into purchasing my first pair of weightlifting shoes that I had discovered how great and beneficial weightlifting shoes could be. Three years down the line and after bringing numerous friends to buying a pair of weightlifting shoes, I decided that it was time to help out as many people as I could by guiding them through there first purchase of weightlifting shoes.
A little story about how I got to starting Weightlifting/CrossFit
From the age of only four years old to my 18th birthday, motocross was my primary sport. Racing was everything to me spending my weekends away from home and my friends to dedicate my time to competing. Through motocross, I discovered fitness, which was a necessity to be competitive. As time wen’t on and obligations changed I had to leave that passion behind and focus on my future.
Although motocross wasn’t part of my daily routine anymore, fitness never left. I had never stopped craving the feeling you got after a long hard session. Setting my goals on the future I had always pictured myself becoming a fitness trainer. One day while attending a course to become a trainer I stumbled across a very enthusiast CrossFit athlete which had similar goals to mine. At the time I had no idea what CrossFit was but because of her I wen’t home that evening and watched my first CrossFit games documentary. Instantly in that moment I was hooked. The mix of cardio, weightlifting, gymnastics and most of all competing directly against’s other opponents was what really did it for me. What I missed a lot about motocross that fitness did not really bring was the competing head-to-head against other athletes. Well guess what? Crossfit had it all.
Within a month of discovering CrossFit I had signed myself up to my first ever lesson. I walked out of that class that day more exhausted then I had ever felt before and I loved it! On the downside I quickly discovered that I had sever lack of mobility in my ankles and hips. Deep squats, over head squats were all impossible at first but after following my coaches advice and purchasing my first pair of weightlifting shoes all of those issues seemed to had disappeared.
Since that time has gone on and three years after picking up CrossFit you can still find me five days a week in my local CrossFit box training my ass off. My weightlifting shoes never leave my gear bag and have become something I use pretty much every session. Therefor being my number one investment I have made for my training.
Why I want to help out
I want to help out because I am passionate about my sport and I know that CrossFit is a growing community and believe it will keep ongoing upwards. Weightlifting which has been around for a long time, was once overlooked upon by the average human being because it came across as something to injury prone or to complicated to get into. Luckily there’s been a big switch in trend and mind-set these last few years and more and more awesome people join CrossFit boxes or want to start Weightlifting. That being said I am also very much aware of how many people face the same issues that I have once faced. Most novice in CrossFit or Weightlifting start off with a lack of mobility in there ankles. Therefor guiding you towards buying your first pare of weightlifting shoes, like my coach once did for me brings a lot of satisfaction. Also there are so many great brands out there with different price range that I believe at 100% that there is a shoe for everyone.
The aim of this website
The aim of this website is to show you in description all the variations of Weightlifting shoes you may stumble across. I will be reviewing each pair so that you can compare price range, overall quality of the shoe, designs but also just to help you have every brand in front of you so that it makes your life as easy as possible.
If you ever have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more that happy to help out a fellow gym enthusiast.
All the best,
